Fundación A. Jean Brugger is well known for its work supporting education in San Juan del Sur, which is why many visitors who for personal reasons cannot become a sponsor or support any of the other programs decide to bring school supplies as in-kind donations. This type of aid is always welcomed, because it allows us to deliver supplies to the most neglected schools in the rural areas.
We have delivered over 3000 school packets over the years, and made sure that every rural school in the Municipality is supported by us. You would be surprised how deeply appreciative students are for even a box of pencils. FAJB also packs special backpacks for the teachers. If you are planning a visit to San Juan del Sur, please contact us and we'll be happy to suggest what school supplies to bring, and also to arrange a visit to a school if possible.
