Civil Engineering
Scholarship annual cost: $2120
If you would like to sponsor Jhonny,

Jhonny lives alone with his mother. They lived for many years in Managua, but his mother emigrated to San Juan del Sur in search of employment, where she works in restaurants as a kitchen assistant. He has some relatives in town that he frequently visits.

He graduated high school in 2020, but was not able to start university this year. In order not to waste time he decided to take technical courses in English and pastry. But his dream is to have a university degree. He has discovered a great passion in Civil Engineering, and he thinks that, as he has been successful as a student, he will be successful as an engineer, because he will maintain the same discipline and passion for studies.

Jhonny states that the subjects that he has been most passionate about are mathematics, chemistry and physics, this being one of the reasons that have also motivated him to study engineering. He also dreams of helping to improve the productive infrastructure of the municipality.

In previous years he has participated in environmental cleaning days, but he is also interested in other social activities that contribute to the well-being of the San Juan del Sur community.

As for his values, he identifies with solidarity, kindness and respect, he thinks that those solid values will make life go well for him, and thus he will be able to help his mother to have a better life.
