On December 12 a group of 16 young people, including 8 current scholarship students, 5 former graduates of Fundación A. Jean, and 3 other young people from San Juan del Sur, completed the four-month-long intensive English course at Escuela Adelante.
This project was part of the new Life Skills Program, an opportunity to strengthen and complement professional knowledge for the scholarship students and former professional scholars of Fundación A. Jean Brugger. This special project will develop greater professional skills and labor competency. Our students are very excited and grateful for the opportunity they had to learn English, because they know the value of speaking English in San Juan del Sur, a tourist city. This will be of great help to their professional development. Fundacion A. Jean Brugger congratulates all the young people who took advantage of and successfully completed this educational opportunity. Finally, special thanks to Kathleen Brugger for promoting this educational initiative, and to all the donors who helped make the “Life Skills Program” possible. We also thank the director of Escuela Adelante Jaime Hunter and Professor Hannah Zucker for their collaboration and interest in our students.
