Scholarship students from the Fundación A. Jean Brugger in the field of economic sciences have begun a new social initiative with children from the Camilo Ortega neighborhood of San Juan del Sur. The students will teach children and young people the importance of money, saving, and having a career, and how to become entrepreneurs. The goal is to develop smart savings habits at an early age and to cultivate key skills of money management that can be utilized in their own business in the future. The working sessions with children are conducted in two groups on Thursday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at a home in the community. The program is very interactive, creative and dynamic. There is also time for tutoring, help with homework, and refreshments. The financial education themes chosen are appropriate for children and teenagers. The group responsible for implementing this community service project is composed of 6 scholarship students.
