Videl was born on April 18, 2001. She lives in Ostional, about 25 Km from SJdS. Videl is an only child and lives with her father and her 2-year-old daughter; she is a single mother. Videl’s father makes his living by diving for octopus or fishing. Their financial resources depend on her father’s work and the sale of food from the house, which Videl does in order to cover basic and educational expenses
She graduated from the public High School in Ostional, in 2017. Her favorites classes were: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences. She graduated from High School with an academic average of 84%.
Videl is excited about studying to be a nurse at the Nicaraguan University of Human Studies in Rivas. She chose to study Nursing because it has fascinated her since she was a little girl. She has family members who are in this field and that has motivated her to follow a career in serving the community.
She has a strong desire to succeed and wants to be a professional in order to have better economic possibilities and a better future for her daughter and her father. She sees herself as a young leader, humble, respectful, grounded and responsible. In her free time, she likes to play softball and to spend quality time with her daughter and to do her share of the household chores.
