Kellyn will begin her fourth year of university in 2021, studying Marketing and Advertising at the University of Commercial Sciences (UCC) in Managua. Kellyn made the decision to study Marketing because she had developed marketing materials for activities in high school and realized that she has the empirical skills for this career. Because of this experience, Kellyn is confident that she has chosen the career that is right for her. Her academic average in her second year of university is 88%.
Kellyn is characterized by being sociable, punctual, and helpful. In her free time she likes to play volleyball, walk on the beach, and take pictures. When considering the social reality of her community, Kellyn is saddened by child labor, poverty, and intrafamily violence. In the future, she would like to support programs for the prevention of violence in families. Kellyn has been very consistent in volunteering in her community, for example she has participated in beach and community cleaning activities, she has also stood out for participating in academic competitions such as: oratory, sport (Volleyball) and a fundraising campaign for children with different capacities etc.
Kellyn was born on December 31, 2001, is 18 years old, and lives in the Carlos Hollman neighborhood of San Juan del Sur. Kelly is the youngest of two sisters; she currently lives with her mother and older sister. Her mother is a teacher by profession and teaches in a public primary school in her community. The only economic income of the home comes from Kellyn’s mother to cover the family’s basic expenses and Kellyn’s studies.
Kellyn completed her high school studies at the public Emmanuel Mongalo y Rubio Institute in 2017. Her favorite classes in high school were: sociology, economics, history and English. She graduated from high school with an 84% academic average.
Her short-term goals are to improve her English (speaking), obtain a university scholarship and become a professional in her career.
