Teacher Sponsorship Program

Realizing that uniforms and scholarships result in increased attendance in school, higher self-esteem, and overall individual development for our students, Fundación A. Jean Brugger also understands the great importance of addressing systemic issues such as teacher training and curriculum development. By partnering with other NGOs and institutions that focus on these areas, such as the dynamic Fabretto Children’s Foundation, we seek to affect positive change on a much larger scale.

For example, Fundación A. Jean Brugger recently began a Teacher Sponsorship Program that provides a much needed stipend for area teachers to continue making a difference in local students’ lives. Unfortunately, classes such as English, Art, and Sports Education are the first to go when funds from the Ministry of Education are cut. In order to keep those teachers employed and assist children in reaching their full potential, Fundación A. Jean Brugger has made a commitment to help out whenever possible.

For as little as $150 a month, not only can you provide gainful employment for these local leaders who have dedicated their lives to education, but you also ensure that the young people who are the future leaders of Nicaragua receive the attention they need, during the most important developmental stages of their lives.
