Fundación scholarship students collaborate with the families on pilgrimage to Popoyuapa National Sanctuary, Rivas.
Once again scholarship recipients of Fundación A. Jean Brugger have responded to the request for food, clothing and toiletries to support humble families who go on pilgrimage every year in carts from municipalities in the department of Granada and Carazo to the Sanctuary National de Jesus de Rescate in the department of Rivas. The pilgrimage is made as an act of faith and thanks to Jesus of Rescue.
A member of the committee that sponsors the pilgrims’ carts requested that Fundación Jean Brugger support the families with food, clothing, personal items and school supplies. The Fundación responded positively, involving students in this campaign of personal solidarity and as part of their community service involvement. The Fundación also contributed backpacks of school supplies for children, shirts and some flip flops.
We congratulate and thank the following scholarship students for their collaboration and solidarity with the pilgrim families who will spend 5 days in the National Sanctuary of Jesus of Rescue in Rivas.
They are; Yelany Gabriela Herrera, Casta Margarita Rivera, Maria Fernanda, Veliz, Ana Georgina Carvajal, Brian Argenis Carrillo, Daniela Dangla and Kimbery Sumpul López. Our founder Dona Jean Brugger and her daughter Kathleen Brugger also joined the campaign,
