María Fernanda Veliz Sandino is studying Economics with an emphasis on International Commerce at the Universidad de Ciencias Comerciales UCC-Managua, and has a scholarship from Fundación A. Jean Brugger.
On November 12, María Fernanda participated in the Entrepreneurship Fair of her university where she won first place. There were approximately 30 projects in the categories of Business Ideas, Business Plan and Incorporated Companies.
Maria Fernanda said: "My project is named Tree Concept. This is a company that manufactures and distributes cosmetic products made from natural ingredients.
The idea was born in a class called International Trade 2, in which we were asked to make products for export. I made a prototype of a sunblock based on essential oils. UCC held a fair and I was invited to participate by Professor Javier Cardoza. The fair was held on Sunday, November 12, I participated in the category of Business Ideas and won first place."
